We are a Carbon Negative Business (pending certification) and as such your accommodation plans will not impact your Carbon Footprint Calculations. We could even help you reduce your emissions with Carbon Offsetting Projects. 

From our Off-grid Head Quarters in North Bedfordshire (which is a “Regenerative Farm”) Our business has multiple ESG programmes that aim to have a positive impact on our Guests, our Community and our Planet.

Its not just about low energy light bulbs and a recycling plan… Each of our properties has a holistic approach to being “Green”. Currently achieving a Green Tourism Award but striving to set a new standard… Staying with us will not impact your Carbon Footprint Calculations.

At the heart of our business is the act of reciprocity. We share, create and contribute to our community giving more opportunity to more people will help raise us all up.  

  • We aim to plant 1,500 trees a year with our Community Programmes
Carbon Negative Activities

We partake in a variety of Carbon reducing activities which can help your business with its ESG. Just by staying with us you are making a positive contribution as we donate and work in the below activities. We could even do a Workshop with your Team to show you how to reduce carbon and what we do for “Regenerative Farming”  

  • Together with the WoodLand Trust and Our Pathways Programme plant over 1,500 trees a year.
  • CO2 from the atmophere gets captured in the trees, shrubs, weeds
  • Through Pyrolysis of the cropping and prunings we produce Biochar
  • We add the Biochar to the soil on our Farms to lock the carbon away for 1,000's of years
  • Whilst also improving the soils drought tolerance, boosting moisture retention, increasing nutrient retention, supercharging microbial activity, improving pest and disease resistance and the soil's tilth and root development
  • Ultimately performing "Regenerative Farming" and being Carbon Negative

From you staying with SILVA you are supporting our Pathway Programme & Regenerative Farming.

Your donations are used to plant more trees, make more Biochar, improve soil health and lock away tonnes of carbon in a positive and useful way

We really do appreciate the support and it contributes to your ESG and Carbon Reducing plans! 

(we are currently investigating to see if our programmes can be verified and count towards your Carbon Credits or Calculations!)
